Informational Report Writing

For the past few weeks in writing Te Ngahere has been writing about their chosen country. We were learning to write informational reports. We had to choose a country we wanted to write about and have three subtopics. My country was France so my three subtopics were: Popular Traditions in France, The French language and France’s Population.

France
Have you ever been on an exotic trip to France?  Did you know that France once controlled more than 8% of the worlds land?  Amazing right?  If you want to hear even more amazing things keep reading, and you will learn about France’s most: Popular Traditions, their language and their population.

Popular Traditions:
In France there are some pretty amazing traditions. A lot of them are to do with Remembrance (Remembrance day ), a lot of them are family times ( Christmas, Easter) and a lot of them are… well… `Hilarious  ( April Fools) let's do that one, on April fools day people go around sticking fish big or small on people's backs. This has been this has been a tradition since 1564. France is the only country that does this. It is a French tradition. So if you are in France for a holiday and it is April Fools day don’t be surprised if there is a fish on your back.

Frances Language:
Did you know that the French Language is the 10th most spoken language in the world!!! Now that’s amazing. The French language is taught in every country in the world; it is an official language in 32 countries. and did you know that 6 TO 11 MILLION PEOPLE IN AMERICA SPEAK FRENCH!!! This is incredible, how cool can the French language get.

France’s Population:
In France there is alot of people and it has been like that for many years. In 2010 the population in France was 62,961,136 In 2015 the population was 64,395,345 In 2016 the population was 64,668,129 and I kid you not that the population in 2017 is 64,938,716. This country just can’t get any better!!!!!

In conclusion we can understand that France is the best country in the world! It has amazing and funny traditions that is only special to them, they have a very popular and amazing language, they have a lot of people living in their country and let’s just say that was only a quarter of their amazing country facts.

My Maths Goals

Last week in Te Ngahere everyone was given an IKAN sheet. There were a variety of stages, these stages had learning goals which we needed to learn. I was put at stage six. This means that I had to find 3 goals that we needed to learn on the stage six maths sheet.
Our WALT was to identify our next learning steps in maths
After we found our three goals we had to make a google drawing and record our goals onto it.
