Last Term for Matariki Te Ngahere and Te Maunga did some art which represented our whanau. We were learning to draw koru and kowhaiwhai patterns. We had some help from some parents such as Annalisse (Kiana's Mum). Firstly we started off by practising with a crayon, our focus was to try and make parallel lines. Once that was checked we moved onto an A3 piece of paper to practice with a pencil. Next we had to draw a drawing that represented our family. When that was completed we got to paint it with Metallic Paint and then outlined it with black vivid. In the end all of the paintings looked very nice and I can’t wait until they are put up in the whare.
