Going to the Waitangi Treaty Grounds

Last week on Tuesday Paihia School took a trip to the Waitangi Treaty grounds. We played many many exciting games that whanau use to play on Matariki back in the day!!!
On the day we played some fun activities such as making manu aute. We wove the flax over and under to make our manu aute they all looked amazing. We done other things such as games and tree planting. My favourite game was a game that involved listening to your surroundings. They used this skill because when any animals or enemies were close they would listen carefully to the noises they would make while they walk and eat.

Going to the Waitangi Treaty Grounds was an amazing experience and I hope to do it again next year!!!
