Our Matariki Celebration Day

Last week on Thursday morning Paihia School walked down to the beach at 6.00am to go and see the Matariki stars. After that we walked back to school and had an early morning breakfast. After assembly everyone went out to play games and do some gardening. We played games like Timata which is a game that goes with a legend and many more. After all of the fun games and planting, the whole school had a shared kai together! When we finished our amazing lunch we did some Kapa Haka in the Whare for the parents. It was so cool Everyone had fun and we all hope to do it again next Matariki.
